Inter release Icardi medical update

Inter have just released a medical update on Mauro Icardi who has not joined his National teal due to an injury.

The Argentinean has had medical tests and Inter have released a medical update concerning the physical shape of their star striker.

“Mauro Icardi this morning underwent a clinical and instrumental assessment at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano.

After taking a knock during Sunday’s game against Torino, tests results has since shown that the Nerazzurri attacker has suffered no significant injury, although there is bruising and inflammation around his right knee.

Before retuning to Luciano Spalletti’s squad, Icardi will now complete four to five days of physiotherapy and an individual training programme.”

The talented striker has 11 goals and one assist in 12 Serie A games so far this season. The 24-year-old is Inter’s only centre forward and an injury for the 24-year-old would be a huge blow for the nerazzurri boss Luciano Spalletti. Luckily for Inter, however, Icardi will be eligible to play the next Serie A game against Atalanta.
