Inter release official statement on Mauro Icardi
Here’s the translation of Inter’s official statement published on the club’s website.
After this morning’s meeting between Mauro Icardi and Inter’s board, the club have decided to apply a sanction for breaking the rules which had previously been agreed by all the team members.
Icardi has also given his point of view talking with inter.it
“I’ve been living some very sad days of late. Inter are like a family to me and every family goes through hard times and misunderstandings can happen. I’ve probably rush into writing that page of my book. I’ve used inappropriate expressions and I am deeply disappointed to have involved Inter fans.”
“My words have offended many people, but one has to look forward and do everything to fix things. I am sorry and I’ll do everything I can to cancel those pages so that nobody can feel threatened anymore. I’ve had a meeting with the club today and we have the same objective which is the good of Inter because nothing is as big as this club.”
“That’s why I’ve accepted each decision taken by the club. I’ll try to be more careful the next time, which is something that one covering my role must always do. We are now as unite as ever and we are ready to prepare the next games with the maximum of determination.”
