Inter target could stay in Genoa with Sampdoria

In a story that began months ago, there is a potential return to the beginning for Sampdoria’s prized young striker. The future of Patrik Schick might still be in Genoa after his transfer to Juventus collapsed last week. Still courted by rivals Inter, the young Czech player, according to reports from Sky Sport, could be staying with Sampdoria this season.

There was an inflammation of the heart in the early medical examinations for the Samp striker, now thought to be less serious and not to require surgery. But the news was enough for Juve to take a step back from their negotiations, as they hoped for a slight change in the formula of the deal. Samp’s Ferrero stayed rigid and thus refused Juve’s desire, and now it looks like the player could be playing another season with the Blucerchiati.

Moving forward, Sampdoria have taken the necessary steps to help monitor Schick’s heart and any conditions which he might be faced with moving forward, which could include bringing in a specialist for extra tests.
