Inter to scout Chelsea defender tonight
After having Napoli’s trip to Manchester City yesterday as he kept an eye on Sky Blues’ defender Eliaquim Mangala, Ausilio will be out to watch the 21-year-old Dane Christensen.
The defender has made six appearances for the Blues this season, out of which three have been starts. His standout performance has been his showing against last season’s runner-ups Tottenham, as he helped Antonio Conte’s men to a 2-1 win at Wembley.
It is after two full seasons that Christensen is finally getting is due opportunity at Chelsea, after he returned from successive loan spells at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach, becoming an important cog in their wheel throughout his stay.
Reports in England are suggestive of the fact that the Dane can start in the midfield today, after having played only at centre-back this season.
