Inter's Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has already identified a hot young prospect he is interested in bringing to the Nerazzurri during his trip to South America, namely Boca Juniors Gonzalo Maroni.

The player was born in 1999 in Cordoba, Argentina and has come up through the youth ranks at AC Còrdoba, the same academy that Juventus Paolo Dybala grew up at. Maroni himself has expressed a huge desire to play with Dybala at Juventus according to many interviews he has given stating that "Dybala is my idol. If I were to score I would celebrate the same way he does, with the mask sign."

Maroni, nicknamed El Pibe or the little boy, plays as a classic number 10 similar to Pablo Aimar and is gifted with all the talents a player in that role is required to have. Inter have a great relationship with Boca Juniors thanks to the deal that saw another Argentinian youngster join the Nerazzurri this past summer, namely Colidio. Now Ausilio has Maroni set in his sights and the trip to South America serves also to examine the player first hand up close.
