It's done. Manchester United land £40M Croatian play-maker

After reports yesterday that Manchester United were on the verge of tying up a deal for Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic, comes the news that the deal is pretty much signed sealed and delivered. Sunsport writes that the Red Devils have agreed a deal with Inter Milan of £40M for the 28-year-old with the player himself set to earn £100,000-a-week in wages.

The versatile Croat, who is adept at playing as a winger, second striker and attacking midfielder, has made no secret of his desire to join the Premier League giants with United boss Jose Mourinho enlisting the help of his friend Predrag Mijatovic to help broker the agreement.

Perisic has also been tracked by Chelsea but with the assistance of Mijatovic, who also helped the Portuguese tactician land Luka Modric during his time as Real Madrid coach and Nemanja Matic whilst he was in his second spell in charge of Chelsea, Mourinho looks to have finally got his man.
