Juventus target Jose Maria Gimenez is willing to lower his price-tag to force through an exit to Turin, if reports are to be believed.

With Rugani and Caldara Juventus do have two impressive young defenders to smoothen the transition when the likes of Georgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli fade off, but Benedikt Howedes’ situation still hanging in the balance, the Old Lady will need atleast one more defender to hand them future assurance in defense.

Jose Gimenez is one of those players who has fascinated the Old Lady for long and the Uruguayan could be willing to force through a move to Juventus by asking Atletico Madrid to lower his price-tag.

The 22-year-old is not preferred ahead of Diego Godin and Stefan Savic by Diego Simeone and he needs more time on the pitch to fulfill his potential.

And while he currently has a contract till 2018, a new one that will keep him tied to Los Rojiblancos till 2021 is expected to be signed soon. That new deal will have a 65 million euros release clause, which Giminez will look to lower to seal a move to Juventus, who will be willing to sign him for that fee.

Lowering the clause could also make potential suitors Manchester United and Manchester City make offers for the defender.
