Juventus chiefs are in talks with representatives of Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic over a possible move to Turin. Latest reports state that Bianconeri bosses have met Giuseppi Riso, who is acting as an intermediary in the proposed deal, to try to accelerate the move to get business completed.
 

The 28-year-old Serbian international looked like he was heading to Old Trafford but after the Red Devils splashed out on striker Romelu Lukaku, this now looks highly unlikely. Juve boss Massimo Allegri wants midfield reinforcements and Matic has headed towards the top of his wish-list. According to TransferMarketWeb however, Chelsea’s £40M valuation of the player remains a stumbling block.
 

The portal believes that the Premier League champions, who recently purchased Frenchman Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco, want to recoup the £39.7M they splashed out on the player but on the suggestion Matic himself, they may now be prepared to drop the price to try to get the player off the payroll. Negotiations now look set to continue.
