Juventus: Allegri predicts Scudetto point total

  • Matthew Klimberg
Juventus tactician Massimiliano Allegri finds himself, and the club, in unfamiliar positions: looking up in the Serie A standings. With Napoli leading the pack, Allegri spoke to Tuttosport on the early season, and summer departures.

On their position in Serie A:
“Are we worried? No, we are respectful of Naples, Inter, Roma and also Milan who made a great shopping campaign to get to the top four and now it is only a little detached. In the end these five teams, unless Lazio adds to that list, will play for the top four places. Juventus’ strength is to respect everyone because otherwise you can not win.”

On Napoli’s success:
Napoli has grown up, have been playing for the same team for three years. Juventus has changed a lot: we have continued to win and they grow on the game plan and this year at this time they have two more points than us.

On Bonucci’s departure:
“Leo had been an important player in Juventus' history. There have been many players over the years, and after Tevez, Pirlo, Vidal left, it looked like Juventus was over. But, a year later, with the departures of Pogba and Morata, the company has done a great job at recovering.”

On how many points it will take to win the Scudetto:
