Juventus make opening bid for Arsenal and Man Utd midfield target

Juventus are desperate to sign a new centre midfielder with Steven N’Zonzi who is said to be the Old Lady’s summer transfer priority. Sevilla’s DS, however, confirmed yesterday that the club won’t sell N’Zonzi for less than his € 40 million release clause which means Juventus are also taking a look around Europe trying to identify cheaper midfielders.

Psg wantaway Blaise Matuidi is reported to be one of Juventus’ top transfer shopping list as well and according to L’Equipe, the Champions League finalists have submitted their opening bid to sign the 30-year-old.

Matuidi’s contract runs until June 2018 and according to the player’s agent Psg have not begun new contract talks yet.

The Frenchman is being linked with moves to Arsenal, Man Utd and Inter as well but Juventus seem to have made the first step before their European rivals.

The Old Lady has also tasked Mino Raiola with the job of trying to trade Matuidi’s Psg exit given that the representatives of the two clubs are not on good terms since Kingsley Coman moved from Paris to Turin as a free agent in summer 2014.
