Lazio overcome Zulte with goals from Caicedo and Immobile

It is the second consecutive success in Europa League group K for Lazio, who today beat Belgian side Zulte Waregem's  2-0 to remain unbeaten at the ‘Olympico’ after the victory over Vitesse two weeks ago. Lazio’s two strikers were lethal yet again, with the Ecuadorian Caicedo, scoring for the first time in a Biancoceleste shirt with a header from close range, and the usual Ciro Immobile, who came from the bench in place of Di Gennaro and was the author of his twelfth goal this season.

During the second half, accompanied by a general physical downturn in the team and the physical problem accused by Luis Alberto, forced to surrender to Milinkovic-Savic, Lazio underwent a resurgence from the guests, who were dangerous on a couple of occasions with Leya-Iseka and Olayinka, but Lazio was kept afloat by Strakosha’s saves. In the end, on an assist from Murgia, the win allows Lazio to move ahead in the standings after two matches and in view of the double challenge with Nice.
