Liverpool closing in on star winger as Roma identify replacement

Liverpool are closing in on the signing of AS Roma star Mohammed Salah. The agent of the Egyptian winger flew to England this past week-end to finalize his client’s move to Anfield Road. The Egypt star is going to cost Liverpool somewhere in the region of € 40 million.

Salah, a former Chelsea man, is expected to make return to England after his two-year and a half spell in Serie A.

The Egypt star has begun his Italian path at Fiorentina before moving to AS Roma in summer 2015. The giallorossi signed him from Chelsea on loan with option to buy. They made his loan move permanent last summer for € 16 million only.

Scorer of 19 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions so far this season, Salah is one of the best Serie A wingers alongside Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi who is reported to be the most likely player to replace Salah at the Olimpico.

Berardi snubbed a move to Juventus last summer and could join his former coach Di Francesco at AS Roma. Di Francesco, in fact, is going to be appointed as the giallorossi new coach.
