President suggests Liverpool target could leave Bundesliga this summer

Liverpool’s pursuit of German striker Max Kruse has been given a boost with the news that the 29-year-old could be on his way out of Werder Bremen this summer. Bild newspaper claims that the club’s President has stated that if the player wants to leave then they will not stand in his way if he wants to depart.

The journal also quotes boss Frank Baumann who when asked about Kruse’s future at the club replied; “There’s no guarantee - you only get a guarantee with Tupperware." With Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke arriving at Anfield this summer, Reds tactician Jurgen Klopp is still on the hunt for more striking reinforcements; Kruse scored 15 goals for Bremen last term and Bild also states that it’s not just Liverpool who are eyeing up his services. A host of other Premier League sides including Southampton and West Ham United are also understood to be in the hunt.
