Liverpool look to bring in Napoli left-back

Liverpool are in the hunt for a suitable left-back as they look to build on their Champions League earning spot last season. They want to strengthen their bogus position, with Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam as a reported target.

The Daily Mail are suggesting that The Reds have already made enquiries to the Serie A side about obtaining the France-born Algerian international after rejecting a £11m move from the southern-Italian club for their current left-back Alberto Moreno.

The 26-year-old Ghoulam has been on Jürgen Klopp’s radar for some time but it is suggested that the manager will now press ahead with a move for the former Saint-Etienne player.

Conversations have taken place between the two clubs and the Merseyside club before but it now seems like the player is again being considered as a possible replacement for the out-of-favour Moreno. The Spaniard has been put on as an available transfer for £15m, with sides Inter and A.C Milan as keen parties on the 24-year-old.
