Luca Toni reveals biggest regret, his favorites for Scudetto

Former Italian striker Luca Toni has opened up about his unique and lengthy career. Among the accolades and prizes Toni picked up along the way, was also a regret.

Speaking to TeleRadioStero, the World Cup winner opened about the biggest regret of his career. Looking back, Toni wishes he had spent more time with AS Roma. “I had six really intense months in the capital, it was the regret of my career. I experience something magical at Roma.”

The former striker spent the second half of the 2009-10 season on loan with the Giallorossi, having been left out of the rotation at Bayern Munich.

He also spoke about this season’s thrilling Serie A Scudetto race. “Seeing five teams within five points in Serie A is a great thing.”

“Napoli and Roma have grown and Juve aren’t killing them, so I think it’ll be nice. It’s a beautiful league because it’s balanced. If Juve have lost something, then I think Roma, Napoli and Inter can fight for the Scudetto.”
