Man City, Real Madrid & PSG could face FIFA sanctions for illegal approach on Mbappe

Monaco are set to submit an official complaint to football’s governing body FIFA, for what they regard as an illegal approach for their young striking sensation Kylian Mbappe. The Ligue 1 champions are understood to be furious that three unnamed clubs, believed to be Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, made contact for the player without their permission.

Whilst FIFA are yet to receive any official documentation, the Daily Mail writes that the Premier League side believes it has done nothing wrong. Paris Saint-Germain on the other hand, are now understood to have made an official approach for the 18-year-old who has become one of the biggest names on the summer transfer window.

Monaco have issued a strongly worded statement in which they have alleged that “important clubs” have all made contact with Mbappe without their consent to try to convince him to join them next season.

Manchester City have already landed themselves in hot water having been banned from signing academy players for two years after “tapping up two schoolboys from Stoke City and Everton.
