Manchester United make improved bid for €100m Serie A star

Mancheser United are looking for a new striker and although Alvaro Morata tops the Red Devils’ summer shopping list, Torino star Andrea Belotti remains one of the players monitored by José Mourinho who is believed to be an admirer of the Italy star.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, Manchester United have made an improved bid for the talented striker who netted 26 goals in 35 Serie A appearances last season. The 23-year-old has a €100 million release clause included in his contract and Torino president Urbano Cairo is not open to sell his striker for a lower fee.

The Red Devils have put € 70 million on the table but that is not enough for Torino as they will only sell Belotti for his release clause.

Manchester United had already made an offer for Belotti, but their opening proposal was rejected by the granata. New head scout Javier Ribalta (former Juve scout) is believed to have made contact with Torino offering them € 70 million but Torino are not going to be persuaded: they have already made it clear that Belotti won’t leave Torino for less than € 100 million.
