In a Tweet he said: “The rumours are false.” This was written alongside a red dot emoji, as if to symbolise his commitment to the reigning Europa League champions.

The 21-year-old had a tricky spell at Old Trafford last season, but it looks as if he’s keen to get on and win more trophies with the North West side.
