Marcelo Bielsa to take over as Newell’s Old Boys youth team coach

Marcelo Bielsa can’t really stay away from the spotlight. The Argentine tactician signed for Lazio in summer, but changed his mind in a few days time and did not even show up in Rome to take his first training session with the Serie A side.

According to Planeta Newell’s journalist Hernan Cabrera, El Loco is set to meet representatives of his childhood club Newell’s Old Boys to discuss about a potential job as youth team coach.

Newell’s Old Boys stadium is dedicated to the Argentinean tactician who won with the club the Apertura in 1990 and the Clausura in 1992.

Bielsa has yet to meet the club’s board, but he’s believed to be the major candidate for the job. Bielsa would reportedly accept not to train the senior team as he wants to return to his old club, regardless the role he’s given.
