Marseille full-back Isla: 'I'm not good enough to play for Juventus'

Mauricio Isla has made an incredible statement about former club Juventus.

“Honestly, I wasn't capable of playing at Juventus, we're talking about one of the top ten teams in the world”.

“I've always said that Juventus acquired me when I had just hurt my right knee,” the Chilean international told LUN “I'm happy to have played with Buffon, Pirlo, Vidal and Tevez... but if you're not at that kind of level you need to leave".

The Chilean is currently on loan to Olympique de Marseille.

“I came to Marseille and I'm totally happy with the life I lead, I'm not a Juventus-calibre pllayer, because I don't deserve to be there now”.

OM would like to bring him over to the Stade Velodrome on a permanent basis, and Juventus have said on a number of occasions that they'd be happy to get rid of him.

The problem is, however, that the French club doesn't have enough. Isla is likely to return to the nest, where Marotta and Paratici hope to make some money for him, or at least cut their losses the best they can.
