Former Inter President Massimo Moratti gave a long interview with Radio Rai talking about a wide variety of subjects such as which players from his treble winning side he would like to insert into Spalletti's current squad.

"I would always put Cambiasso into the team, he is fundamental for the midfield. I would only add a few from the treble winning side like Sneijder who increases the speed of the team. Meanwhile in attack, I think that Spalletti is covered with Icardi who is a quality player. Any regrets? I really liked Cantona but you can not sign all players."

The legendary Nerazzurri President was asked about VAR stating that: "in the beginning I was not that ethusiastic about it, before there was a lot of controversy surrounding the right or wrong refereeing decisions and everyone had their own ideas. However now no-one can say anything. I think it is an excellent thing, we need to get used to it although the referees must use it in the right situations."

In conclusion Moratti was asked about the Italian national team saying: "it is not easy to overcome the play-offs, it is not all up to poor Ventura. Let's see how the players arrive for these fixtures. It will not be easy to qualify for the World Cup."
