8 minutes plus stoppage time. That's all that André Silva got in today's Confederation cup game game between Portugal and Mexico (2-2 FT). Even so, the young rising star proved his worth as he added a physical presence up front for the Portuguese national side. Minutes after coming on, he nearly scored a great headed goal but Ochoa came up with a terrific save. A few minutes after this, he was part of the build-up play which saw Portugal take a 2-1 lead late on. He then showed off his skills as he found Gelson Martins on a counter-attack, who failed to convert the pass. Too bad for Portugal as they left a stoppage time goal and Mexico earned a 2-2 draw. Even so, André Silva proved his worth as it will be hard for coach Santos to keep him on the bench for their next game against Russia. 

MORENO DOES IT AGAIN - André Silva wasn't the only new Serie A player who did well. Hector Moreno (who Roma acquired for 6 million euros) scored the 2-2 goal in stoppage time as he beat Fonte and headed home from a corner-kick. He was solid for Mexico ...
