Ahead of tomorrow’s clash between AC Milan and Roma at the San Siro, Rossoneri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu spoke about his teammates and opponents. In an interview with The Messenger, the Turkish playmaker conceded that the match will be extremely difficult, but expressed optimism in his club’s ability to rise to the occasion.

“I have already faced Rome in Champions [League], they has great qualities,” said Calhanoglu. “It will be a great match, we will try to play it with equal weapons.” One such Roma weapon Milan will have to contend with is prolific scorer Edin Dzeko.

“How to stop Dzeko?,” asked Calhanoglu. “Edin is a very strong, dangerous player and is very intelligent. I trust in my defense companions: Bonucci, Musacchio, Zapata, Romagnoli, Paletta. Of course, we know it will not be easy, but we will do our best."

ON MILAN – “In the dressing room we always talk about various game situations. We have played well in competitions, apart from Lazio and Sampdoria. But those two games now need to be forgotten because now we have to focus only on Rome and give 100%”
