Milan enter race for Real Madrid striker with €70m bid

AC Milan are ready to make a huge offer for Karim Benzema, according to Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri have been linked to the Real Madrid striker before, but have recently found themselves in the race for Alvaro Morata, the Chelsea and Manchester United target.

Benzema, 29, scored 17 goals last season, keeping Morata to just over a dozen La Liga starts.

With the Spaniard struggling for playing time, he has been angling for a departure, but it now looks like the Rossoneri want Benzema, not him.

There’s a problem, however: Real Madrid don’t want to do without the former French international, and he doesn’t want to go anywhere either, as he is seen as indispensable by Zinedine Zidane.

Having dumped Gianluca Lapadula and acquired Andre Silva in attack, Milan are ambitious with their signings.

They’ve already splurged more than
€200 million this summer, bringing in Franck Kessie’, Andrea Conti, Leonardo Bonucci and Hakan Calhanoglu, among others.
