Napoli looking to strengthen squad with Barça men

Napoli will look for reinforcements in January, with Faouzi Ghoulam’s injury having forced the Partenopei to act. Aurelio De Laurentiis hadn’t planned to invest in another left-back, but he knows it is essential to readdress the balance of Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

Two names have come to the fore in today’s newspaper reports, both of whom have connections to Barcelona. According to Corriere dello Sport, Denis Suárez is set to lead a mid-season exodus of players from Catalonia, while Tuttosport say Benfica left-back Grimaldo is also on the Azzurri’s radar. Juventus are also said to be interested in the former La Masia graduate.
