Napoli president comments on the futures of Higuain and Koulibaly

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has held a press conference today to talk about the future of Gonzalo Higuain and Kalidou Koulibaly, who are the hottest commodities in the partenopei side this summer, being the due chased by Juventus and Chelsea.

HIGUAIN: “If Higuain joins Juventus, he betrays himself. He went under Napoli’s ‘curva’ last season signing and celebrating with our fans, if he goes to Juve, that’s a nonsense. Napoli and Juve are like dogs and cats.”

“Juve would need to pay the player’s release clause and reach agreement with Higuain. The only club that have made an offer for Higuain is Atletico Madrid. They proposed € 60 million plus two players, but I said no. I am not going to reveal if the release clause expires. Napoli managed to finish second also without Higuain. Cavani is not going to return. When he left he said he was not on good terms with me anymore.”

KOULIBALY: “He has three years left on his contract and he’s not going to leave. I’d like Gabbiadini to stay too. We are chasing Giulio Donati [Bayer Leverkusen] as we need a right-back, better if hes good with both feet. Our fans want to win the Scudetto? They’ve won already, they should remember where they were ten years ago.”
