    Napoli, Insigne apologizes with Sarri

Lorenzo Insigne said sorry to Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri during a private meeting held in Castel Volturno on Sunday morning, the day after Napoli’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus.

The Italian winger couldn’t hide his disappointment when Sarri decided to replace him in the second half of the J Stadium clash with the Italian gaffer who was not left impressed by his player’s behaviour as he explained to the press after the final whistle.

“Insigne needs to shut up”, Sarri said in the post-match press conference on Saturday night.

“ When he put down disappointing performances I don’t complain in front of everyone. If he has something to tell me, he can do it the following day in the dressing room. Before I replaced him, he lost the balls three times, failing to chase his opponent to win the ball back. To me, that’s a clear sign that he is tired.”

According to Italian press agency ANSA, the Italian star apologized with the manager the day after the defeat and could be set to start Napoli’s incoming away Champions League clash to Besiktas.
