Neymar needed riot police to take corners in last night's Clasico

Neymar didn’t exactly have a fun time last night in the French Clasico.

The Paris Saint-Germain star was pelted with objects by Marseille fans whenever he went to take a corner, as the local media pointed out after the 2-2 draw.

Neymar moved to the capital for 222 million this summer, and justified the price tag by scoring 10 goals in Ligue 1 and Champions League action, adding seven assists.

The Brazilian initially refused to take a corner because of the response from the fans, but was eventually escorted to the flag by riot police, who held their shields aloft in order for him to take the corners.

Though he scored last night to level the scores at 1-1, he was sent off in the second half for reacting to a Lucas Ocampos shove. Referee Ruddy Buquet thought he had headbutted the Argentine, however, and sent him off, something many fans haven’t taken to very well.
