Official: Crystal Palace hire former Inter Coach

Crystal Palace have hired Frank De Boer, the Eagles officially announced on their website.

The Dutchman didn’t last three months at Inter this season, being hired only twelve days before the start of the season.

The former Barcelona star won four Eredivisie titles as a Coach at Ajax, leaving ahead of the 2015 season.

“I am pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace and I know he cannot wait to get started and prepare for our record breaking fifth season in the top flight,” chairman Steve Parish told Palace’s website.

The Dutchman sounds excited to be in London: “I am thrilled to be appointed as manager of Crystal Palace Football Club.

"It is a great honour to take charge of such an historic club, a club that is known around the world for its hugely proud and passionate fan base.

"This role is a hugely exciting opportunity for me, and I cannot wait to get started in the Premier League with the players and staff here in south London.”

De Boer joined Inter after Roberto Mancini left the Nerazzurri by mutual consent last summer, and didn’t get much time to prepare for the campaign. He still managed a Derby win over Juventus, but was sacked after losing seven games out of fourteen with Inter.
