OFFICIAL: Gervinho quits Roma and moves to China
The news item was in the air, but now it’s official: the 28-year-old winger Gervinho has left AS Roma to sign for Hebei Fortune Football club. The giallorossi should earn about €15 million, including bonuses. The Ivorian player arrived in Rome in the summer of 2015, expressly required by the then head coach Rudi Garcia. During this period, Gervinho has scored 26 goals in 88 games.
Last summer, the former Arsenal man was about to move to the Emirates, but finally the transfer wasn’t carried out. During the current season, Gervinho’s performances were quite deceiving, and with the arrival of Spalletti the situation has become quite complicated, at it seems that the two had a fight. As reported by the Corriere dello Sport, in the last two weeks the player has never trained, as he was reported injured, and has asked to be sold.
