Mohamed Salah has officially joined Liverpool this evening in a deal worth £34M. The 25-year-old underwent his medical at the club’s Melwood training centre earlier today and the Merseysiders announced his capture a short while ago.
 

Salah has signed a five-year deal but does not become the club’s record signing; that honour is still with England striker Andy Carroll who joined from Newcastle United for £35M in 2011.
 

On announcing the capture, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp declared; “Salah has the perfect mix of experience and potential. This is a really exciting signing for us. I have followed him since he emerged at Basle and he has matured into a really good player. His pace is incredible, he gives us more attacking threat and we are already strong in this area. I like that we will make it even more competitive."
