Milan are stepping up their chase for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Club representatives were at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to watch the Blues beat Leicester City and initial contact has now been made over the 29-year-old Spaniard.
La Gazzetta dello Sport believes that a January move to the San Siro is now a distinct possibility but that the Premier League side may use the potential sale to get their hands on highly-rated central defender Alessio Romagnoli. The pink journal echoes reports circulating in the UK that the West London club have already agreed to meet Milan’s asking price of €55 million for the 21-year-old.
Erik Lamela has also become a target for Milan according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The journal states that Milan officials used their trip to London at the weekend to discuss the possibilities over a move.
Inter have enquired about the availability of Chelsea striker Michi Batshuayi (Tuttosport). The nerazzurri are believed to be targeting the 23-year-old for January.
Corriere dello Sport claims that Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula may be heading out on-loan to Lazio in January. The 26-year-old arrived at the San Siro in summer after netting 30 times in Serie B with Pescara last season. Former Swansea City frontman Alberto Paloschi is another name linked with a move to the Eternal City.
Roberto Mancini has told Telegenova that he will not become the new President of Sampdoria, for now. The 51-year-old spent 15 years as a player at the port club winning the Serie A title in 1991.
Corriere dello Sport claims that if Lazio sell striker Filip Djordjevic to Middlesbrough in January, they may look to bring in Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli as replacement.
