Paper talk: Ranieri offered Leicester return, Juve eye Barça man

There are many hot news in today’s papers in Italy. All of them focus, of course on Inter’s 2-1 win over Verona. The nerazzurri sealed the three points and climbed to second place, only two points short of Napoli.

There are also several transfer stories and exciting interviews. One of those has been released by Claudio Ranieri to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian paper claims Ranieri was offered to return to Leicester City a few weeks ago, just before Craig Shakespeake sacking.

The Italian tactician, however, turned down a chance to return to the Kings Power Stadium where, two years ago, he wrote one of the most amazing and incredible stories of modern football.

Meantime, Tuttosport claims Juventus are still interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, a long time target of the Old Lady.

The Serie A giants are reportedly interested in signing the Portuguese star on dry loan deal until the end of the season.

Andre Gomes has been struggling with game time so far this season and Juventus could offer him a chance to have more game time in a World Cup year. Talks may begin in the coming weeks but it has to be seen whether Barcelona are interested in selling the player in a temporary deal.
