Pep and Man City advance interest in 22 year old Monaco star

Manchester City is continuing to push Monaco to get Benjamin Mendy. As reported in England via mcfcwatch.com, the Citizens are ready to table an important offer for the player. Already on their radar is Spurs back Kyle Walker, and reports are surfacing that Pep wants both players to be signed and presented to the team by next week, as preseason training continues.

Mendy is one of the summer market’s top young talents, as he showed his traits both in Ligue 1 and in the Champions League this past season, thus attracting attention from some of Europe’s elite clubs. The player is not currently training with his teammates due to a thigh injury, and questions surround his long term commitment to the team as interest circulates from England. The 22 year old can play both as a left back or a wide midfielder, and is valued greatly by his French club. Should City come forward with a massive offer, perhaps Monaco could be swayed.
