Pep personally calls Mourinho to enquire about Man Utd star

Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho used to be huge competitors when they were both coaching in Spain. Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona and the Special One of Real Madrid. The domestic and European clashes between these two European giants have made the history of football but now that the managers have moved to England their rivalry is not the same it used to be.

Although the city of Manchester is now split between the duo, Mourinho and Guardiola are much more on good terms than what they used to be so much the duo are also reportedly talking about possible summer transfers.

According to Don Balon, in fact, Guardiola has recently call his Man Utd counterpart to enquire about a Manchester United star.

The Spanish news outlet claims Guardiola wants to sign Marcus Rashord in the summer as he is looking for young English prospects that can build a solid base for the future of the Red Devils.

Trouble is, Mourinho does not want to sell Rashord as he is aware the Englishman is one of the brightest prospects of European football. Guardiola has made his move but it is hard to think that the Red Devils will sell the talented striker to one of their main rivals.
