Premier League calling Inter defender to England

Premier League calling Inter defender to England

According to the Daily Mail, Stoke City is thinking of bringing Jeison Murillo to England. The Colombian defender is not considered an integral part of the Nerazzurri’s project and the club are thought to be entertaining offers for the 25 year old. Initially partnering Miranda in the center of the Inter defense, the Colombian has fallen out of favor and looks to be on the radar of clubs abroad.

Inter paid 8 million EUR for the Colombian from Granada, and is valued above 10 million EUR. A move to Stoke would guarantee more playing time and a comfortable situation, not to mention an English experience in a new culture. As the World Cup approaches Jose Pekerman will want his players to be playing regularly, and this could push Murillo closer to a club where he can find that consistency. As Spalletti continues to give suggestions to Inter management regarding a transfer strategy that keeps Financial Fair Play in mind, there will undoubtedly be some exits for Inter. If the right offer comes for Murillo, perhaps he could be in Stoke stripes next season.
