Promising defender confirms he will join Juventus in 2018

Promising Atalanta defender Mattia Caldara held a press conference alongside his teammate Andrea Conti today as both of them have been called up to Italy national team. The promising duo is part of 22-man squad list that will face San Marino in an International friendly game at Empoli’s Castellani Stadium on Wednesday night.
Caldara has already been announced as a new Juventus signing.

The Old Lady confirmed his signing this past January revealing that the player will be moving to the J Stadium from summer 2018.

Caldara, 23, has imposed himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in Italy and Juventus have managed to seal his transfer for € 15 million plus add-ons.
Several rumours and speculations, however, had suggested Caldara could have moved to Juventus earlier than 2018 as some of Juve’s big names could have left the J Stadium at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, however, confirmed he will only join Juve in 2018.

“I think I am going to stay at Atalanta until 2018. There is an agreement in place with Juventus and I need to have some European experience”, the former Cesena and Trapani star said.
