Real Madrid reveal their new number 10
The Croatia international has been handed the prestigious number as a vote of confidence by the La Liga, a clear showing of admiration for the playmaker.
The number was handed to Columbian star James Rodriguez but since he moved to Bundesliga side Bayern Munich on loan following a season of being moved primarily to the substitutes’ bench by manager Zinedine Zidane.
The reveal was cast on the club’s official website, where they showed all the player’s numbers for the upcoming 2017/18 season.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Modric had worn the number 19 for the reigning Champions League champions but now will wear a number which was once embodied by Mesut Ozil, Robinho and the aforementioned James.
Other numbers are: C.Ronaldo (7) to Bale (11), Benzema (9) to Kroos (8), Ramos (4) to Marcelo (12), A Isco (22). Newcomers Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos will have their 15th and 24th respectively.
