He was the main protagonist in Real Madrid’s 6-1 demolition of Leonesa in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening and now striker Mariano Diaz is a wanted man.
 

According to Spanish sports daily As, six clubs in La Liga are chasing the 23-year-old who has already been told he can leave the club in January. Malaga, Valencia, Alaves, Deportivo La Coruna, Leganes and Sevilla are the six in question as Diaz looks for more first-team action.
 

Born in Premia de Mar in 1993, Diaz arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2011 and played an integral part in both the Real Madrid “C” and “B” teams before his elevation to the first-team squad this season. Despite being born in Spain, Diaz has just the one international appearance to his name and that is for the Dominican Republic back in 2013. Back in Iberia, he looks like being one of the big movers in the January transfer window.
