REVEALED: The two midfield stars who are on Inter’s shortlist for the next season
A typical playmaker, like Andrea Pirlo or Lucas Biglia, two players that the Nerazzurri gaffer had already asked to put under contract. The Italian midfielder has rejected Inter bid, while the Argentinean’s € 30 million price tag is totally unaffordable for the Biscione’s finances.
Said that, a central midfielder with pass and vision is the n.1 target for next season, with Granit Xhaka and Yaya Touré who have been shortlisted to add that final quality piece to Inter’s muscular midfield.
On the one hand , the Swiss International price tag is not less expensive than Lucas Biglia’s. Borussia Monchengladbach have asked € 25-30 million, not to mansion that the player has plenty of other requests from the best European sides.
On the other hand, the Man City star, who’s turning 33 in May, could be a plausible option for the 2016-2017 campaign, especially if Pep Guardiola will really get the Citizens’ job from next season. Touré has already played as deep-lying playmaker in front of the defence at Olympiacos and AS Monaco and Manuel Pellegrini himself has refused to rule out the Ivorian star’s exit at the end of the current season (watch video below).
Provided that Inter will qualify for Champions League and Mancini will remain Inter’s next year, Touré could be the next Nerazzurri’s playmaker.
