Roma closer to Sassuolo midfielder in a reunion of club and coach

Roma is a step away from Lorenzo Pellegrini. According to market analyst Gianluca Di Marzio, the Sassuolo midfielder is ready to accept a return to Trigoria. Giallorosso director Monchi has in fact met with the agent of the footballer in Trigoria, Giampiero Pocetta, and Roma will soon finalize the repurchase of the footballer who grew up in the Romanesque nursery.

It will come as yet another reunion for the club who also look to welcome back former player Eusebio Di Francesco, who also comes from Sassuolo. Di Francesco will likely have been an integral part Pellegrini’s transfer, as the player will enter a new team but with a coach he already knows has faith in him. As mentioned above, it is also a reunion with the capital city for the 20 year old, who was also attracting interest from Juventus. The talented midfielder caught the eye of Italy coach Ventura as well, gaining his first two career national team caps this year.
