Roma ready to talk to Man Utd about Nainggolan

The Daily Mail claims that AS Roma are ready to open negotiations with Manchester United over the possible sale of Belgian international midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the past 12 months and as negotiations over a pay rise in the Italian capital continue to stall, United boss Jose Mourinho has made his intentions clear that he wants the combative star to join him at Old Trafford.

With Chelsea also in the running, the two clubs could be set for yet another titanic transfer tussle after the Red Devils pipped the champions to Nainggolan’s international team-mate Romelu Lukaku.

The journal states that Roma chiefs are reluctant to sell their star player to former coach Luciano Spalletti who is now in charge at Inter and would prefer to offload Nainggolan to a club from overseas.

Despite the player himself constantly stating that he is very happy in the Eternal City, it seems that his current employers are open to his sale and with United’s quest to sign Spurs midfielder Eric Dier looking unlikely, Mourinho will reportedly now turn his full attention to the player nicknamed “Ninja”.
