Ronaldo polarizes Real Madrid dressing room, players speaking out

It appears the cracks at the Santiago Bernabeu are beginning to show. The defending champions (of just about every trophy) have struggled out of the gate this season. Most glaringly, Cristiano Ronaldo has netted just once in nine La Liga matches. Now, it appears his struggles, but more importantly his attitude, is weighing on his teammates.

Diario Gol reports that no fewer than five Madrid players are speaking out about their dissatisfaction with “CR7”. Isco, Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Lucas Vazquez and Marcos Llorente feel the Portugal talisman is the reason behind their below-par start to the season.

They feel that he’s ‘untouchable’ under manager Zinedine Zidane, and want something to change.

Sergio Ramos public disagreed with Ronaldo’s assertion the club misses Pepe, Alvaro Morata, and James Rodriguez. “I do not agree with Cristiano," he told Cadena SER. "I think it's an opportunist opinion.”

They currently sit eight points behind Barcelona as they prepare for their Madrid Derby match at the Wanda Metropolitano after the international break.
