Sarri wants Fabregas to stay at Chelsea amid Milan rumours

In the past week, rumours have accelerated linking Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas with a move to AC Milan; either in January or next summer when his contract expires with the West London club. Milan are on the look out for central midfield reinforcements; with Italian Giacomo Bonaventura set to miss most of, if not all, the 2018/19 season.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the match between Chelsea and Wolverhampton in the Premier League tomorrow, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri admitted that: “I would like [Fabregas] to stay, it is difficult to find a midfielder so technical and with that quality.”

Sarri also spoke on Alvaro Morata, who has been tipped with a potential return to Serie A in the future; with either Inter Milan or AC Milan touted as potential destinations: “Alvaro Morata needs to stay calm; he missed a chance in the last match because he wanted to score too much. I think he has been impressive generally in the last month or so.”
