Serie B continues to be the most thrilling league in Europe. Heading into yesterday’s slate of matches the first and last place teams in the 22-team league were separated by only 10 points after 11 matches.

 

Incredibly, after eight matches yesterday, 20 of the 22 teams switched places in the standings yesterday.

 

New leaders Palermo sit only 11 points above last place Pro Vercelli. However, with the 22nd ranked team playing 21st place Foggia, there exists the very real possibility that separation returns to only 10 after 12 matchdays.

 

After their draw against Cittadella, Venezia, who led Serie B only two matches ago, now sit in 7th place – only one place above yesterday’s opponents for the final promotion playoff spot. However, they’re still only three points from the top of the table! Cittadella is only four.

 

Nine teams sit within three points of the 8th, and final promotion playoff spot.

 

If you’re not paying attention to Serie B, you better start. It’s been a wild season, and it’s only going to get more crazy.
