Spurs and Man Utd on red-alert as Bayern announce two of their star players can leave

German newspaper Bild (via the Daily Mail) has declared that Bayern Munich are prepared to off-load two of their big name players if the right offers are made. The journal claims that Brazilian winger Douglas Costa and Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches could leave the Bavarian giants and that has put two Premier League teams on high alert.

Tottenham Hotspur have been long time admirers of 26-year-old Costa and these latest reports suggest they could be prepared to fork out Bayern’s £30M asking price for a player who has alienated himself from the clubs hierarchy over an ongoing contract feud. Club President Uli Hoeneß has had a very public falling out with Costa and it seems the end in is sight at the Allianz Arena.

Renato Sanches on the other hand, has failed to make a huge impression since his big money move from Benfica last summer. The 19-year-old Portuguese international was wanted at Old Trafford before choosing to go to Germany and on his arrival at the club, United boss Jose Mourinho explained that if he’d been in charge a little earlier, he could have persuaded the player to join him in the Premier League.

Now it’s believed that Bayern will be prepared to sell the youngster if, as in the case of Costa, they receive bids of around £30M.
