Swansea City win race to sign Chelsea striker

Swansea City have reportedly beaten off competition from Premier League new boys Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United to sign Chelsea striking sensation Tammy Abraham. The 19-year-old, who spent last season on-loan at Championship side Bristol City, is currently out in Poland with the England Under-21’s at the European Championships and his club future, according to The Sun, looks to have been settled for next year.

Having smashed in 26 goals for The Robins, Abraham had hoped to figure in the plans of Blues boss Antonio Conte next term but with the imminent arrival of a new big-name striker, the youngster looks set to go out on-loan once again.

Swansea City boss Paul Clement is renowned for giving young players the chance to shine and with current frontman Fernando Llorente being linked with a move away from the liberty stadium, Abraham has been promised a starting-berth next season. It’s understood a deal could be finalised in the next 24 hours.
