The real reason Conte will leave Chelsea

Chelsea and manager Antonio Conte are linked through 2021, but it’s become clear that he will not see out the life of his contract in London. Amidst numerous reports of issues between him, the team, and executives, it appears that Marina Granovskaia is the true reason why.

Since 2010 “The First Lady of Stamford Bridge” has served as the de-facto club president and representative of owner Roman Abromovich. She gained notoriety by staging a £900 million coup to land Nike as the club’s outfitter. Most recently she, reportedly, pushed longtime executive Michael Emenalo from the club.

For Conte, he does not accept the fact that there is always someone ready to say “no” to his requests, which has become a source of tension between him and Granovskaia. The situation in London is delicate, and the departure of the sports director, Emenalo, has thrown gas on fire.

With an open war between them, Conte’s future is decided. He will move on Chelsea in the near future, the only question is when.
