Torino President: ‘No Chelsea offer for €100m Serie A striker’

Torino President Urbano Cairo has denied that Chelsea have made an offer worth €100 million to sign Andrea Belotti.

The Italy striker is one of the most wanted strikers in Europe at the moment but his €100 million release clause makes him one of the most expensive commodities as well.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is known to be an admirer of Belotti and reports in Italy and England claim the Premier League champions are ready to match the player’s release clause.

Cairo, however, has denied that an offer from the Stamford Bridge has already arrived.

“I will talk to Belotti to know whether he is happy to stay at Torino or not. I will meet him in Bormio, during the training camp. I don’t think Chelsea have made any offer but we are here", Cairo said.

“If a €100 million bid arrives there would be nothing I could do. If he’d accept the offer as well we would be forced to sell him.”
