Torino trying to complete deal for Everton midfielder

With a deal to send Afriyie Acquah to Genoa in exchange for Uruguayan wing-back Diego Laxalt on standby, Torino are looking to sign a new midfielder to compensate for the loss of the 26-year-old Ghanaian. Everton’s Muhamed Bešić is the Granata’s preferred option, with new coach Walter Mazzarri looking to put his own stamp on a team largely made up of Siniša Mihajlović’s players. La Gazzetta dello Sport reckon a deal can be closed before the end of January.
